The Annual TREAT

 

Since its inception TREAT-54’s largest event has been dedicated to the disadvantaged children in the communities surrounding Dalling Street, in the town of Savanna-la-mar. Held annually on the first Sunday in December, the event is a full day dedicated to treating children who are often times deprived of the most fundamental necessities.

We celebrate the children and treat them like the stars, they are. We provide the children with a full day of fun activities that promote education, community, health and good sportsmanship. At the end of the day every child is presented with a personalized TREAT-54 gift bag. It serves as a reminder of the day and just how important they are.

FUN FACTS:

 

Each year TREAT-54, attracting children from not only the town of Savanna-la-mar gives away more than 800 TREAT bags.

 

It takes more than 25 volunteers working 12 hours to sort and create the treat bags which are age and gender appropriate.

 

Volunteers visit neighboring communities where they hand deliver TREAT-54 gift bags to children whose parents cannot afford to attend the event.
